The high school football season is in full swing. Seven weeks in and teams & players are starting to seperate themselves from the pack in the Memphis area.
Here are the top performers from Week 7 in the Memphis area:
Matt Connors (Collierville)
Connors was the star in Collierville's 45-8 win over Central Friday night. He threw for 313 yards and four touchdowns vs. a very good Central defense.
Kayln Grandberry (Raleigh-Egypt)
Six touchdown games are starting to become routine for the Pharoahs star. For the second straight week, he reached pay dirt six times but this week he got it done in one half of football. He finished with 174 yards on 11 carries in their 51-8 win over MLK Prep last Friday night.
Eric Grey (Lausanne)
Lausanne won their 20th straight game behind the legs of their star RB. Gray rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns in the Lynx win over ECS.
Nick Montesi (CBHS)
Big time players perform the best on the biggest stages. Montesi saved his best game for CBHS's mathcup vs. then undefeated Briarcrest. He ran for 232 yards on 23 carries and scored four times in their 49-7 rout of Briarcrest.
Demarcus Wade (Olive Branch)
The Quistoris are undefeated this season and Wade has alot to do with it. He put in another impressive performance last friday with 277 yards on 23 carries in a 34-7 win over Lewisburg.
